Meet Tongan Pastor

SIONE LATUHOI

Pastor Sione Latuhoi is a dedicated leader and pastor, committed to serving the Tongan community in Northern California. Since 2006, he has been instrumental in the growth of the Tongan Adventist congregation in Sacramento, which has become a beacon of hope for many families.
Originally from Los Angeles, Pastor Sione moved to Sacramento with his wife Lineni and their six children to pursue training at the Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism. After completing his studies, he felt a strong calling to minister to the Tongan community, leading to the formation of a small Tongan group that grew over time. By 2007, they began meeting at the Southgate Seventh-day Adventist Church. Under his leadership, the congregation saw significant growth, including several successful evangelistic series that resulted in many baptisms.
Pastor Sione's vision is to establish a dedicated Tongan Adventist church that serves as a spiritual "lighthouse" for the Tongan community, where they can worship in their native language and experience God’s love in a culturally relevant way. Currently, the congregation meets at the All Nations Church in Sacramento, while actively working towards purchasing their own building and becoming a fully-fledged church in the Northern California Conference.
Along with his leadership, Pastor Sione also leads the HEB Tongan church in Texas, East Palo Alto Tongan Church and Kahului SDA, Maui, all while his wife Lineni stands by him in ministry. Their combined efforts continue to bless many in the Tongan and wider Adventist communities.
